  • Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard will host its annual Chilly Cook-Off on Friday, Jan. 23, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Switchyard Pavilion (1601 S. Rogers St.), featuring chili from 24 local chefs, a People’s Choice vote, and palate-cooling treats; tickets cost $25 for ages 11 and up.  The B Square Bulletin
  • Bloomington was named a 2025 Digital Inclusion Trailblazer by the National Digital Inclusion Alliance (NDIA) for its work to expand broadband access, devices and digital skills training, highlighting efforts that help local schools, job seekers and older adults.  The Herald-Times

CULTURE NEWS

  • IU Cinema (a local favorite) will screen Twin Peaks season 2 starting Sunday, Jan. 25 at 4 p.m. through Feb. 22, featuring trivia, costume contests, and raffles at five weekly screenings; the event follows last semester’s well-attended season one run.  Indiana Daily Student
  • Five local museums are offering art, science and history exhibits this semester, including Eskenazi Museum’s two shows with one starting Feb. 7, IUMAA’s Shipwrecks exhibit set for April 11, and Monroe County History Center hosting its 11th annual Puzzlefest on Jan. 25 (Switchyard Park).  Indiana Daily Student
  • Thursday night, students gathered at the Dogwood Room at IMU as the Pakistani Student Association hosted Carrom and Kulfi, a cultural event where they played Carrom and enjoyed traditional kulfi.   • Bloomington is harnessing the buzz from its recent national triumph as city leaders and business partners plan to spur entrepreneurship and attract high-wage companies citywide. Officials will boost support for innovation hubs and community spaces to transform the local economy.  The Herald-Times

SPORTS NEWS

  • Three Indiana football players held a celebratory shift at Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers in Bloomington yesterday to meet fans and film promotional content after their championship win. They served food from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. while fans enjoyed exclusive moments at the restaurant.  Indiana Daily Student
  • Indiana football’s CFP title game drew near-record viewership on Monday—averaging 30.1 million viewers with a 33.2 million peak—making it the second most watched title game ever and the most viewed non-NFL sports event since the 2016 World Series.  Indiana Daily Student
  • Indiana football player D’Angelo Ponds confirmed his plan to forgo his final season during a fan event at Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers in Bloomington and will enter the upcoming NFL Draft. The key cornerback earned All-American honors and drew praise from his coach.  Indiana Daily Student
