  • Indiana University distributed shovels yesterday to help students clear snow from cars and sidewalks after a storm dumped 10–14 inches in Bloomington.   • A national report warns that rising data center demand is straining power grids that serve communities including Bloomington as the PJM network faces high risks of winter outages starting in 2029 and state officials plan to review current energy supply levels.  WTHR

  • MCCSC held a forum on Jan. 29 at Bloomington High School South’s auditorium to gather feedback on the former Herald-Times building—currently used for storage and bus parking.   • Prescott Horvath, a Marian offensive lineman, committed to IU as a preferred walk-on on Jan. 29 after earning two IFCA All-State honors with guidance from coach Bob Bostad.   • The IU women's basketball team lost against Michigan on Jan. 29 at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington.
