- ➤ Jacobs Opera and Ballet Theater will premiere Jonathan Dove’s Mansfield Park on Friday, Feb. 13 at the Musical Arts Center as part of IU’s Jane Austen 250th birthday celebration, with a second IU showing Saturday before two additional performances in Indianapolis on Feb. 21 and 22. - ➤ NWS Indianapolis is inviting college weather students & aspiring meteorologists to join its Summer 2026 Volunteer Program for a hands-on meteorology experience supporting local forecasting and severe weather alerts in central Indiana. - ➤ Bloomington was recognized as a top leader in environmental transparency after earning an A score in CDP's 2025 report (joining only 120 cities worldwide). City officials say the achievement reinforces its commitment to net zero emissions by 2050. City of Bloomington
- ➤ Erin Brockovich spoke at an IU lecture at Alumni Hall on Tuesday, sharing her experience with water pollution and urging local residents to use her Community Healthbook website — a tool for reporting environmental issues.
