- ➤ Workers built a skybridge over South College on Feb. 12 to link the Convention Center with its expansion; as a result, traffic and pedestrian walkways face detours. The east southbound lane closes today for curb and sidewalk work until June 26. The Bloomingtonian

- ➤ On Feb. 10–11, the national tour of 'Kinky Boots' dazzled audiences at IU Auditorium with fun songs and vibrant stage work by lead Omari Collins, who brought heartfelt energy to the performance. The musical showcased humor and emotion as it revived the Tony award-winning show in Bloomington. Indiana Daily Student

- ➤ Bloomington/Monroe County Human Rights Commission invites local students in grades K through 6 to submit art & essay entries on community care. The contest is open until Friday, March 13 and accepts digital submissions or drop-offs at City Hall, with winners announced in April who will receive WonderLab Museum passes. City of Bloomington

- ➤ Three Indiana baseball players were named to the Big Ten preseason players to watch list on Wednesday & the Hoosiers ranked fifth in the coaches' poll. - ➤ Indiana football defensive coordinator Bryant Haines won the Broyles Award in Hot Springs, Arkansas Thursday night — he is the first IU assistant honored with the prize and will return next season under a new three-year contract. The Herald-Times
- ➤ Indiana basketball moved off the bubble after winning five of six games; their win over Wisconsin boosted bracket projections for March Madness. The team (17-8, 8-6 Big Ten) faces six regular-season games, including road matchups with Illinois and Purdue that could shape their tournament run. The Herald-Times
- ➤ Indiana Hoosiers defensive coordinator Bryant Haines won the Broyles Award on Thursday in Hot Springs (Ark.), leading a defense that helped secure a 16-0 national championship season; the team will open its title defense against North Texas on Sept. 5 at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington. WTHR
