- ➤ Bloomington’s annual Black Market gathered small business owners, advocacy groups and city leaders Saturday at City Hall to celebrate Black History Month and honor the legacy of the firebombed market on Kirkwood Avenue. - ➤ About 70 residents, builders & community partners met at City Hall Thursday to discuss Hopewell—the city’s largest housing development in progress since 2018. Mayor Thomson said the city is studying a move of the police headquarters to the site, and a round table will be held March 10 to gather input. Indiana Daily Student

- ➤ Curry Limited Partnership bought the former AMC theater at 1351 S. College Mall Road for nearly $5.3 million on Jan. 30 — the developer said there are no confirmed plans for the 8-acre property yet. The Herald-Times

- ➤ Bloomington South's Nick Russell won two matches at Evansville Semi-State on Saturday, Feb. 14 at Ford Center to secure a state berth and finish third; he posted a 15-0 tech fall and earned a pin in 26 seconds as most local wrestlers lost early. The Herald-Times
- ➤ Indiana baseball's bullpen struggled in its opening series against North Carolina, with relievers giving up 21 runs across three games, including a walk-off homer in extra innings of the final game.
