- ➤ Overtuned Fest will present four fusion concerts from Feb. 23 to Feb. 26 in Bloomington, with shows at Waldron Rose Firebay Theater, Whittenberger Auditorium, Pillar Arts Performance Space and Switchyard Park Pavillion (free events that require RSVP). Indiana Daily Student

- ➤ Bloomington Parks and Recreation got a $50,000 SUFR grant from the Indiana Dept. of Natural Resources to examine ash trees threatened by the emerald ash borer. The city will combine local funds to develop a 10-year plan to remove failing trees and plant native trees for every removal. City of Bloomington
- ➤ Severe weather moved through Bloomington and Monroe County Thursday night, triggering tornado sirens and causing power outages, damage at the airport and a bank building — no injuries were reported. The Herald-Times

- ➤ At 8 p.m. ET today, the Indiana Hoosiers face the Purdue Boilermakers (their second meeting this season) at Mackey Arena in West Lafayette. Both teams, coming off losses to top-ranked opponents, will try to improve their NCAA tournament positioning. The Herald-Times
