- ➤ Residents in Fieldstone are still clearing debris from the EF2 tornado that hit Feb. 19 while light snow fell. Temporary dumpsters — provided by Monroe County Emergency Management at two locations until March 6 — help homeowners remove the wreckage. WRTV
- ➤ An Ellettsville food pantry is struggling as a 76% drop in federal aid leads to empty shelves, with emergency community donations only partly refilling canned goods and meat supplies. - ➤ Today, the IU Board of Trustees unanimously approved a six-figure raise for President Pamela Whitten, boosting her salary to $1 million—making her the 10th highest-paid leader in the Big Ten and the second highest-paid woman. The board also adopted the Chicago Principles to strengthen free speech on campus. The Herald-Times
- ➤ IU’s Office of Student Life placed the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity on cease and desist after an alleged hazing incident on Feb. 11 + the chapter is now banned from hosting events, recruiting new members, or holding other activities as the investigation continues. Indiana Daily Student

- ➤ City officials announced that the Hopewell project will test new policies to allow 70% more homes and over 30% lower prices by easing restrictive lot size rules – a change aimed at helping working families afford homes in the community. The Herald-Times
