- ➤ A tornado on Feb. 19 damaged buildings on Bloomington's west side — leaving Amanda Prince homeless after her previous twister damaged her home — and she is now staying in a hotel while working with Heading Home of South Central Indiana as Hotels for Homeless provide emergency shelter. - ➤ Indiana men’s swim and dive captured their fifth straight Big Ten Championship Saturday in Madison, Wisconsin with a total of 1,544.5 points – the team outpaced Michigan by nearly 250 points and will advance to qualifier meets on March 6 and 7 for NCAA Championship spots. Indiana Daily Student
- ➤ Indiana shortstop Cooper Malamazian bounced back with a 2-for-4 game and walk in a Sunday win over Western Kentucky, raising his average to .333 (with 12 RBIs). The Hoosiers will face Northern Kentucky Tuesday at Bart Kaufman Stadium. Indiana Daily Student
- ➤ Indiana softball went 5-0 at the Elon & UNCG Tournament from Thursday through Sunday in Elon, NC thanks to strong offense. They will open Big Ten play at 6 p.m. Friday against Minnesota at Andy Mohr Field in Bloomington and finish a three-game series on Sunday at 1 p.m. Indiana Daily Student
- ➤ The Big Ten women's basketball tournament will begin Wednesday, March 4, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis with opening games on Peacock at 3:30 p.m. and continue through Sunday on multiple networks. The Herald-Times
- ➤ The IHSAA boys basketball tournament kicks off tomorrow with sectional games in Martinsville, Seymour, Speedway, North Knox, and White River Valley; matchups include Martinsville vs. Bloomington South at 7 p.m. and others set for March 3, March 6, and March 7 (winners advance to regionals). - ➤ The Big Ten women's basketball tournament will be held at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis from Wednesday, Mar. 4 to Sunday, Mar. 8 — UCLA is the top seed among 15 teams, and viewers will watch games on Peacock, BTN, and Fox Sports app. The Herald-Times
- ➤ Indiana basketball lost its fourth straight game on Sunday, March 1 at Assembly Hall after falling 77-64 to Michigan State. Lamar Wilkerson scored 29 points but the team struggled defensively as the Spartans opened an early double-digit lead and shot well from 3-point range. The Herald-Times
- ➤ Indiana track and field athletes set personal bests at the Big Ten Indoor Championship held in Indianapolis from Thursday to Saturday; the men's and women's teams finished 13th and 12th overall (with multiple improvements).
