- ➤ The City of Bloomington is accepting applications for the 2025 Downtown Outreach grants to support nonprofits helping people affected by opioid addiction — the grants are funded with opioid restricted settlement money. Applicants must submit forms by 5 p.m. on April 11 and winners will be named on May 5. City of Bloomington
- ➤ Mayor Kerry Thomson will deliver the 2025 State of the City address on April 3 at the Waldron Arts Center at 122 S Walnut St, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and the presentation starting at 6 p.m.—a free event that will include a reception and live broadcast on Community Access Television Services. - ➤ Bloomington city council will consider vacating an alley in the Trades District by mid-April to allow Alluinn IU to develop a 150-bed hotel on two vacant parcels north of City Hall — the redevelopment commission approved a resolution at Monday’s meeting, and the hotel is expected to open in the second half of 2026.
