- ➤ Bloomington’s Volunteer Network offers local events today. Nominations for the 2026 Be More Awards are due March 31, bird feeder cleaning is scheduled at Bloomington Hardware on April 18, and Shakespeare in the Park auditions will take place at Monroe County Public Library (303 E. CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Folklore and Ethnomusicology Student Association will host a ghost walk through campus landmarks including Dunn Cemetery (known for its lady in black legend and haunted auditorium) to share IU’s 200-year history. - ➤ Bloomington Street Department crews patched 553 potholes during the week ending March 20 and remain busy today on roads weakened by freeze-thaw cycles + city officials reported 1,824 repairs in 2026 with West Kirkwood and South Rogers slated for summer repaving. The Herald-Times
- ➤ Bloomington police launched a voluntary Blue Envelope Program that gives free blue envelopes and window clings to help drivers with autism alert first responders during stops. The program lets drivers store key documents in an accessible spot + participation is confidential and does not prevent citations. The Bloomingtonian
