- ➤ The Women’s Fund of Central Indiana is using a report by The Polis Center to guide its grant awards and programs by showing challenges in work, health, and housing — the report highlights issues like a pay gap, high rent, and food deserts for local women. Community leaders will use the data to shape plans and join two online forums on May 29 for mental health and Nov 13 for reproductive rights — the report compiled information from 70 data sources. - ➤ IU professor Abdulkader Sinno was suspended in December 2023 for advising a student group focused on Middle Eastern issues and said his research and class work suffered as a result. He said he was targeted for his views—he will return to teaching in the fall. Indiana Daily Student

- ➤ Mail carriers and supporters gathered on March 23 on the Monroe County Courthouse lawn in Bloomington to protest the planned privatization of the U.S. Postal Service. The Herald-Times
- ➤ Bloomington Transit will build a new center for bus work; they plan to buy new land later this year and start work between April and June next year. The new center is needed because the old building (from the 1980s) does not have room for bigger buses and charging spots for electric buses. Indiana Daily Student
- ➤ Gov. Mike Braun has taken a stand in Indiana's fight over high health care bills by backing new rules that make prices clear—his administration issued orders and named Gloria Sachdev to lead efforts as lawmakers debate ways to limit hospital charges. The Herald-Times
- ➤ Monroe County will close several roads for the Greene — Schultz Hoosier Half Marathon on April 12 from 7 a.m. to noon, affecting Daniels Way, Keller Crossing, Knapp Road, Wellness Way, and Zenith Drive.
