- ➤ Indiana State Fair announced its 2026 theme 'Always a Hit' in partnership with the Indianapolis Indians during Opening Day events on March 27 at Victory Field — the fair will run from Aug. 7-23 with attractions like a mini-Victory Field and a wiffle ball diamond. WTHR

- ➤ Indiana University Bloomington (IU) junior Shraavya Pydisetti ’27 is interning on Capitol Hill at Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne's office from January through May, handling tasks from constituent calls to legislative work. - ➤ MCCSC trustees reviewed an elementary redistricting study report expected in spring and construction projects at both high schools— they also approved early childhood contracts and discussed a new state law banning student cell phone use during school. - ➤ Alluinn Development, a Chicago-based firm, will break ground this summer on a new 170-room, four-story hotel at the corner of Rogers and Tenth streets in the Trades District.
