- ➤ Officials reported a weak EF—0 tornado touched down near a church south of Bloomington during severe storms on March 30 in Monroe County—additional damage also occurred in Bartholomew and Brown counties. Two storm-related deaths were reported in northern Indiana, with a 34-year-old man in Valparaiso and an 84-year-old man in Elkhart County losing their lives. WTHR

- ➤ Edgewood beat Bloomington North 7 to 5 in an IHSAA softball opener marked by many errors and an ejection of coach Mick Hammett. Star pitcher Ally Bland threw over 100 pitches while new players adjusted to their roles. The Herald-Times

- ➤ Indiana men's basketball landed its first transfer commitment of head coach Darian DeVries' tenure when DePaul guard Conor Enright chose the Hoosiers on Wednesday. - ➤ Indiana softball won the series finale against Ohio State after Brianna Copeland pitched a complete game with a career-high 13 strikeouts and hit three home runs that tied school records—helping the team rally after giving up 19 runs in the first two games.
