- ➤ The Bloomington/Monroe County Human Rights Commission is accepting nominations for its 2026 Human Rights Award to honor individuals and organizations advancing civil rights + submissions must be received by May 1 at 5 p.m. City of Bloomington

- ➤ Waxahatchee and Kathleen Edwards will perform on June 20 at 7 p.m. at Switchyard Park as part of the Granfalloon Concert Series organized by the IU Arts+ Humanities Council. - ➤ After eight state lawmakers demanded an investigation, IU confirmed that its Muslim Philanthropy Initiative partnered with a U.S.-based nonprofit that recommended Hayat Yolu (a charity later designated by OFAC) and will review MPI oversight while expanding its Research Security Office training for faculty involved in international partnerships. - ➤ Indiana baseball rallied from a deficit of four runs to beat Ball State by 6 to 4 Tuesday at Bart Kaufman Field and improved their record to 13 to 19 — a win that sets up a series of three games against Maryland starting Friday at College Park. Indiana Daily Student
- ➤ Bloomington North’s Derrick Cross and Bloomington South’s Duncan Combs have been named to the Indiana Junior All-Stars Red Group — they will compete against the Kentucky Junior All-Stars at Charlestown on May 31. - ➤ Indiana softball used near-perfect pitching — a key factor in the win — to post a 9-0 victory over Butler on Wednesday at the home field. The team will face Purdue in a three-game series at Andy Mohr Field Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Indiana Daily Student
