- ➤ Bloomington residents can join a week of Earth Day events from April 16 through May 10 that include free workshops, cleanups, and tree plantings. The events at venues such as Eigenmann Hall and Switchyard Park offer hands-on activities and community celebrations—registration and waivers are required for some. Indiana Daily Student
- ➤ The City of Bloomington will open Hopewell Commons on April 23 at 332 W. University St. with festivities starting at 3:30 p.m.—a formal ceremony begins at 4:15 p.m. with local leaders, live music, food trucks, and community games, and attendees may use accessible parking and an electric shuttle for overflow parking. - ➤ Bloomington's first Psychedelic Fest called 'Mind Unveiled' will take place on April 19 at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater (114 E. Kirkwood Ave) and offer film screenings, Q&As, and interactive activities like sound healing and ecstatic dance without any drugs present. - ➤ Area protests under the 50501 movement are planned for April 19 in Monroe, Brown and Owen counties – with events at courthouse squares – and some protesters will join a convoy to Indianapolis after the Spencer rally. - ➤ With measles cases spreading in Indiana, the Monroe County Health Department will hold a mobile vaccine clinic on April 21 from noon to 6 p.m. at the Ellettsville branch of the Monroe County Public Library—Meeting Room B at 600 W.
