- ➤ A transient man was arrested on April 10 for riding a stolen bike from a Kroger display—police are still looking for a $950 bike taken early from an IU fraternity house. The Herald-Times
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Members of the IU Wilderness Medicine Student Interest Group learned scuba safety on Saturday at the Bill Garrett Fieldhouse Pool 194 by splitting into groups for a classroom lecture and hands-on dive training. - ➤ Taxpayers who missed the April 15 deadline and requested an extension now have until Oct. 15 to file federal returns and until Nov. 17 to file state returns. They must pay at least 90% of the expected tax by the original deadline to avoid extra charges. The Herald-Times

- ➤ Lamar Wilkerson, a transfer guard who averaged 20.8 points per game and shot 44.5% from deep last season, has committed to Indiana men's basketball. He is the fourth transfer to join the team and will have one year of eligibility remaining. Indiana Daily Student
- ➤ Indiana women’s tennis lost two weekend road matches: one with a 4 to 1 score against Minnesota in Minneapolis + one with a 4 to 1 score against Wisconsin in Madison, finishing 0 to 8 on the road. - ➤ Indiana football will hold its annual spring game on Thursday at 8 p.m. at Memorial Stadium to show the updated roster — including new quarterback Fernando Mendoza and a returning secondary.
