- ➤ Monroe County Community School Corporation is inviting Bloomington residents to help shape local school plans by joining its advisory council plus sharing feedback in an online survey open through May 6; the council began its work on April 15 and will complete three sessions by May. - ➤ Bloomington was named the third-best college town in the Midwest by the 2026 Best College Towns report, ranking 13th nationally with strong retention and graduation rates + high quality of life measures.
