  • At Bill Armstrong Stadium on lap 199 of the Little 500, a crash disrupted CUTTERS' bid for victory as senior rider Thompson suffered red gashes and Chi Alpha took the lead; the incident forced several teams out of contention.  Indiana Daily Student
  • The Pittsburgh Steelers drafted Indiana football tight end Riley Nowakowski with the No. 169 pick during the NFL Draft on Saturday afternoon (he had 32 catches, 387 yards and four touchdowns during his breakout season at IU).  The Herald-Times
  • Black Key Bulls clinched the Little 500 victory after a late-race crash (with riders colliding) turned the sprint chaotic at Bill Armstrong Stadium. Senior rider Paul Lee avoided the pileup and led the team to a historic three-peat.  Indiana Daily Student
  • Houston Texans drafted IU linebacker Aiden Fisher with the 243rd pick in the seventh round on Saturday afternoon—he is the first IU linebacker selected since 2022 after anchoring the defense in Bloomington.  The Herald-Times
  • Indiana center Pat Coogan, recruited back to Bloomington by coach Curt Cignetti, was drafted by the Tennessee Titans with the No. 194 pick in the sixth round on Saturday afternoon. He helped IU boost its offense, and his strong performances set him apart as a skilled local talent.  The Herald-Times
  • Indiana running back Roman Hemby signed as an undrafted free agent with the Las Vegas Raiders Saturday night — reuniting with former IU quarterback Fernando Mendoza. Hemby posted an 82-yard touchdown run in the Old Oaken Bucket Game and helped IU win a national title.  The Herald-Times
  • Indiana track and field athletes shined at the three-day Clark Woods Invitational in Louisville, where six of nine finished in the top 10 and three finished in the top five — they now look ahead to the Jesse Owens Invitational in Columbus on May 1-2.  Indiana Daily Student
  • Indiana University wide receiver Elijah Sarratt was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the fourth round of the NFL Draft on Saturday, April 25. The senior, who transferred from James Madison, earned 65 receptions + 830 yards + 15 touchdowns in 2025.  WTHR
