- ➤ After Wednesday, May 7, a court will rule on Monroe County Sheriff Ruben Marté's immigration enforcement policy following a lawsuit filed by Attorney General Todd Rokita, with Special Judge Lucas Rudisill (in Monroe County circuit court) reviewing both sides' proposed orders. - ➤ Indiana-based company Ray & Mascari Inc. recalled 4 Count Vine Ripe Tomatoes sold through Gordon Food Service Stores in 11 states—Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Wisconsin—due to potential salmonella contamination from a Florida supplier. - ➤ Indiana football wrapped up spring practice after losing six players in the transfer window and added veteran commitments including Stephen Daley (Kent State), Kellan Wyatt (Maryland) and Jonathan Brady (Cal) to meet a projected total of 80 scholarship players for next season. The Herald-Times
- ➤ The IHSAA released softball sectional brackets on Sunday for area teams with play starting May 26 and finals on May 28. - ➤ The IHSAA announced baseball sectional pairings for Bloomington and nearby teams, with the local matchup at Terre Haute North on May 28 where North (8-5) faces South (9-5).
