- ➤ The City of Bloomington Volunteer Network has listed several local volunteer opportunities including the Summer Launch Party at Bryan Park on May 24—where volunteers aged 16 and up assist with event setup, games and cleanup—and regular workdays at PEAK Animal Sanctuary plus family support events on selected Saturdays. - ➤ On May 8th, the Exotic Feline Rescue Center began taking in non-feline animals such as foxes, bears, coyotes, and wolves, marking an expansion of its rescue efforts—aimed at caring for a broader range of exotic species. The Herald-Times

- ➤ Human remains found during March land clearing on the north side of Bloomington were identified as 40-year-old John E Baker Jr., who went missing in 2022 after being last seen near Meadows Hospital—dental records and a forensic team confirmed his identity and a coroner determined he died by suicide. - ➤ Straight No Chaser—an a cappella group formed at Indiana University—announced its Holiday Road Tour and new holiday album release.
