- ➤ Following his death in February, long-time fire chief Jim Bob Davis left his 1965 Ford Fairlane to be restored by friend Tracy Taylor — entrusted by Davis’ son. The tuned V8 and painted car now draws attention when it is driven out near Taylor’s Bloomington garage. The Herald-Times
- ➤ Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen attended Indy 500 festivities on Sunday, May 24, at the Motor Speedway and remarked that race teams shared a perseverance similar to the Artemis II mission — planning now to try Hoosier fare like a pork tenderloin sandwich and sugar cream pie. The Herald-Times
