- ➤ The City of Bloomington invites residents to help paint a new street mural at the intersection of Allen and Fairview Streets in the McDoel Gardens neighborhood on June 14 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.—up to 30 pre-registered volunteers will take part in 90-minute shifts with all supplies provided by artist Rachel Kavathe. - ➤ Between May 23 and May 27, Bloomington police investigated many crimes including vandalism at Toppers Pizza, thefts of bikes and a laptop, shoplifting at TJ Maxx, cases of public urination, fraud, suspected prostitution, arson, assaults, robberies and burglaries across town — several cases remain under investigation. - ➤ Indiana University announced that it will freeze in-state undergraduate tuition and mandatory fees for the next two academic years—while recommending up to a 2% increase for graduate programs.
