- ➤ Simtra BioPharma Solutions bought a 65-acre property on Bloomington’s west side on July 25 to expand its manufacturing of injectable medicines from the old GE plant with over 300,000 sq ft of space. - ➤ Bloomington police arrested eight people in Seminary Park on drug charges after weeks of investigation — six were charged with cocaine and meth dealing, one for marijuana possession and one for possessing a syringe — and Mayor Kerry Thomson said the arrests aim to protect vulnerable residents while a press conference on housing and homelessness is scheduled for Tuesday, July 29.
