- ➤ The City of Bloomington Animal Care and Control faces capacity issues this summer as more animals arrive and staff numbers drop, and it is waiving adoption fees until August 10. - ➤ A Bloomington grocery store warned customers that a skimmer attached to Register 3 at its East location may have stolen credit card details from June 28 until July 12 — the store ramped up security while police looked for the thief. WTHR
- ➤ On July 27, police responded to a violent fight on Leonard Springs Road after a 37-year-old driver was punched, strangled and hit in the face while driving his 2008 Chevrolet Trail Blazer, and a suspect—who had been involved in an earlier altercation—was arrested and booked on charges including aggravated battery and criminal confinement as the victim was taken to IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
