- ➤ A Bedford man died Friday afternoon in a head-on collision on State Road 45 in Greene County when his 2010 Chrysler Town-and-Country collided with a 2021 Ford F450; the Ford driver was taken by EMS to IU Health Bloomington Hospital as authorities continue investigating the crash. - ➤ At a joint meeting on Aug. 8, Monroe County councilors and commissioners decided to cancel the planned letter to state legislators about the new jail project and instead focus on moving ahead with cost-saving design changes within their reduced budget. - ➤ Indiana football safety Louis Moore filed a lawsuit in Dallas County District Court against the NCAA to seek extra eligibility for junior college play and requested a temporary restraining order so he can remain with the team when the academic term begins on August 25th—his participation in offseason practices has raised questions about his start for the season. His attorney Brian P. Lauten said the court will schedule a TRO hearing on Monday or Tuesday—after the NCAA denied his initial waiver and has not yet ruled on Indiana’s appeal. The Herald-Times
