- ➤ MC-IRIS—a local nonprofit—is fighting invasive plants in Bloomington by teaming with the parks department for upcoming Weed Wrangle events at Crestmont Park, Latimer Woods, Griffy Lake, and the Rail Trail. - ➤ The City of Bloomington’s Safety Week will run August 18-22 as part of the Safe Streets and Roads for All Action Plan to reduce traffic fatalities and serious injuries by gathering resident feedback through brief surveys and social events offering free food and prizes.
