- ➤ Bloomington Animal Shelter is running its 'Double the Love' fundraiser from Sept. 1 to Sept. 21 to raise money for emergency care as rising costs and high shelter numbers increase the need— the city will match donations up to $20,000 to help cover urgent surgeries and treatments. - ➤ A state law took effect on July 1 that requires Indiana University to post course syllabi online—IU set its own rule on July 26 that they must be available at least seven days before classes start using an automated system to copy materials from Canvas to CourseLeaf. Some professors expressed worry that the change could limit academic freedom and invite competitive pressure. Indiana Daily Student
