- ➤ On Friday night, the Chamber Orchestra led by conductor Jeffery Meyer performed three musical works at Auer Hall with more than half of the 400-seat audience attending. The free concert featured Ravel’s 'Le tombeau de Couperin'—a piece with shifting moods—followed by Wallen’s 'Mighty River' and Mendelssohn’s 'Italian' symphony, and ended with a nearly five-minute standing ovation. - ➤ On Friday, the Neal-Marshall Black Cultural Center held its 14th annual pinning ceremony where about 70 first-year and transfer students received a pin that symbolizes their new beginning at IU—200 attendees included faculty, family and community members. Officials and mentors stressed that the pin represents a shared commitment of support as the students started their IU journey. Indiana Daily Student

- ➤ During the week of Sept. 19, top-ranked Indiana high school football teams played strong games as Bloomington South beat Terre Haute South 49-14—teams like New Palestine, Heritage Hills, and Evansville Memorial also posted decisive wins across classes 6A to A. WTHR
- ➤ The Bloomington North football team defeated Terre Haute North Vigo 56-0 on Sept. 19 (2025) in Conference Indiana play as the Cougars gathered 420 yards and stifled their opponent after a loss to Bloomington South last week. The team will focus on their next conference match against Jeffersonville on Sept. 26 (2025). The B Square Bulletin
- ➤ The Hoosiers game against Illinois was moved from NBC to Peacock and kicked off 20 minutes later at 7:50 p.m.—the change came after nearly two hours of weather delay affected the Notre Dame-Purdue game in South Bend. The Herald-Times
- ➤ No. 19 Indiana football dominated Saturday night at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington as the team won 63—10 over No. 9 Illinois with an explosive 35-point first half; quarterback Fernando Mendoza threw for 267 yards and five touchdowns while the defense got seven sacks and held Illinois to 161 total yards.
