- ➤ Bloomington's local music scene will come alive this week as Honky Tonk Tuesday starts Tuesday at Blockhouse Bar from 8:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. with $5 tickets and the Lotus World Music and Arts Festival brings international acts from Thursday through Sunday at venues including Buskirk-Chumley Theater and Monroe County Public Library Auditorium—offering a blend of culture and country sounds. - ➤ ACLU legal representatives on Friday filed a complaint on behalf of Exodus Refugee Immigration—a nonprofit that helps immigrants and refugees and that has an office in Bloomington—against Attorney General Todd Rokita for issuing a civil investigative demand that critics say violates the group’s First Amendment rights. The suit says the demand asks for confidential client data and extra details that may overburden Exodus and requires a response by Sept. 29. Indiana Daily Student

- ➤ On a rainy Saturday night in Bloomington, the Hoosiers beat Illinois 63 to 10 at Memorial Stadium—marking their sixth win over an AP Top 10 team and proving last season's success was no fluke.
