  • Indiana football beat Iowa 20-15 on Saturday at Kinnick Stadium with a 49-yard touchdown pass from Fernando Mendoza to Elijah Sarratt that kept the Hoosiers undefeated at 5-0—coach Curt Cignetti showed his frustration with officials after tight fourth-down attempts hurt the team.  The Herald-Times
  • Indiana volleyball swept Washington at Wilkinson Hall Saturday, securing its second Big Ten win of the season—sophomore middle blocker Ella Boersema recorded four blocks and nine kills as she stepped into an expanded role that boosted her team's performance.   • Indiana football secured a 20-15 win over Iowa on Saturday when Fernando Mendoza made a 49-yard touchdown catch-and-run (the game-winning play by Elijah Sarratt) to give the Hoosiers a 5-0 record; they will face Oregon after the off week.  The Herald-Times
  • Indiana football starting corner D'Angelo Ponds is listed as questionable with an undisclosed injury for today's game against Iowa and may be replaced by Northern Illinois transfer Amariyun Knighten if he cannot play—Ponds had a key play last week when he blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown.  The Herald-Times

  • Edgewood Mustangs lost their Friday homecoming game to the Beech Grove Hornets 12-0 as the Hornets scored on strong runs—Coach Fischer said the Mustangs struggled with field position and will work on details in practice as they host Sullivan next week.  The B Square Bulletin
  • On Sept. 26, Indiana men's soccer beat UCLA 4-2 at Bill Armstrong Stadium in Bloomington. Clay Murador scored his first goal of the season and Jack Wagoner sealed the win with a late penalty—Indiana improved its record against the Bruins.  Indiana Daily Student
