- ➤ Indiana University's homecoming parade moved along Woodlawn Avenue and 7th Street Friday evening. About two dozen demonstrators gathered near the Indiana Memorial Union—chanting 'Free press! Free press!' as they protested the cancellation of a special print edition of the Indiana Daily Student. The B Square Bulletin

- ➤ Indiana field hockey upset No. 10 Maryland 2-1 in a shootout Friday, marking the first win in 12 games against the Terrapins—sophomore goalkeeper Sadie Canelli saved every Maryland attempt. The win improved the Hoosiers’ Big Ten record to 1-3 and set up a road game against Penn State today at 11 a.m. Indiana Daily Student
- ➤ At a Friday game, Center Grove beat Bloomington South 33—12 and gave the Panthers their first loss since 2015. The loss dropped Bloomington South to 8—1, and they will prepare for an Oct 31 home game against Terre Haute South Vigo. The B Square Bulletin
- ➤ Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza thanked fans as chants of HeisMendoza were heard during his team's 38-13 win over Michigan State. The Herald-Times
- ➤ On October 18, the Indiana Hoosiers scored a touchdown against Michigan State before a lightning storm led officials to suspend the game. Officials set the contest to resume at 5:37 p.m.—a brief delay before play continued. The Bloomingtonian
- ➤ Indiana football freshman Byron Baldwin Jr. may have made his collegiate debut during Saturday's game against Michigan State after missing the first six games with an undisclosed injury—he was not listed on the availability report issued two hours before kickoff. The Herald-Times

- ➤ Jack Wagoner, Indiana men’s soccer captain, celebrated his senior night on Friday at Bill Armstrong Stadium in a game against Hanover College after four seasons with the Hoosiers.
