  • The northern extension of the B-Line Trail opened yesterday, linking Adams Street with Fountain Drive — joining paths to 17th Street/Vernal Pike over I-69 — and gives trail users a new route from the former trail end at North Adams Street.  The B Square Bulletin

  • Award-winning author Aminatta Forna will discuss 'The Power of Storytelling' at the Monroe County Public Library Auditorium at 7 p.m. Nov 15—Molly Gleeson of the Writers Guild organized the free event that will include a book signing and reception across the street at the Monroe County History Center.  The Herald-Times

HEALTH NEWS

  • Students raised $3,135,391.23 for Riley Children’s Hospital during the 36-hour IU Dance Marathon held at the Tennis Center — the event began Friday at 8 p.m. and ended Sunday morning with dancing, crafts and games to keep participants alert.  Indiana Daily Student

  • The B Square released new details on Monroe County property transfers — the report covers transactions from Oct. 16 to Nov. 6 with sales prices ranging from $35,000 to $575,000 at various local addresses. SPORTS NEWS

  • Indiana basketball beat Marquette 100-77 on Sunday at the United Center with key contributions from Lamar Wilkerson (who scored 23 points) and Tucker DeVries (who scored 28 points) despite issues with fouls and injuries—this win relieves some pressure ahead of their Nov. 12 home game against Milwaukee.  The Herald-Times
  • Indiana defeated Penn State at Beaver Stadium on November 8 — the Hoosiers improved to 10-0 overall and 7-0 in Big Ten play as quarterback Fernando Mendoza threw for 218 yards and senior linebacker Aiden Fisher made an interception while a touchdown with 36 seconds left sealed the win.  Indiana Daily Student
