- ➤ A new locally themed puzzle series called Civic Solver will launch on Nov. 17 in the Almost Daily newsletter, tying together Bloomington’s people, places and public life. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Indiana University placed its chapter of Tau Epsilon Phi on cease and desist for hazing Friday and suspended all activities until further notice — it is the fourth fraternity to face such action this semester. Indiana Daily Student
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Bloomington South football will face Floyd Central tonight at 7 p.m. in the Class 5A regional playoffs—South is trying for a rare three-peat from the late 1990s while both teams hold 10 to 1 records and high-scoring offenses. The Herald-Times
- ➤ Bloomington South overcame a 7 to 6 deficit and scored 49 unanswered points to beat Floyd Central 55 to 7 and claim their third straight regional title at Huff Field on Friday. Quarterback Duncan Combs threw for 186 yards, running back Braylen Townsend ran for 110 yards, and Sam Giles returned a kickoff 98 yards—setting the stage for their semi-state game against New Palestine next Friday.
