- ➤ On Nov. 7, a teen discovered a 1964 homemade prom dress at the Monroe County History Center Garage Sale in Bloomington with a handwritten note attached (dated April 7) that explained its original details and care instructions. She said the dress fits perfectly and plans to have the matching shawl cleaned before wearing it at her senior prom while hoping to connect with the woman who made it. The Herald-Times
- ➤ Bloomington Delta Music Club held its second annual Battle of the Bands Saturday at Maxwell Hall where four bands with randomly paired members competed. The Raging Rangoons won by close vote — earning a headlining spot at the next showcase and a pink guitar to be signed by future winners. Indiana Daily Student

- ➤ Retired IU professors met with Chancellor Reingold at the Emeriti House to question a new rule that bars emeriti from voting in faculty governance—two pressed to restore their rights while some remain skeptical, and a School of Social Work lecturer was removed following a complaint over a lesson on racism. Leaders in Ellettsville are exploring a merger with Richland Township, and the Bloomington City Council discussed changes to zoning and building rules to boost affordable housing. - ➤ IU Bloomington has suspended all fraternity gatherings due to hazing allegations and risky behaviors. Three chapters are on cease and desist while one is on an interim directive and others are under investigation (groups that break the rules will face extra scrutiny). WTHR

- ➤ Local restaurants and shops now offer a wide range of Thanksgiving options including full meals, sides, and desserts for customers to add to their holiday feasts. - ➤ The Indiana men's soccer team clinched the No. 6 national seed and earned a first-round bye in the NCAA Tournament. They will host a second-round match at noon Nov. 23 at Bill Armstrong Stadium in Bloomington against the winner of the game between Kentucky and Saint Louis. Indiana Daily Student
- ➤ On Saturday, Indiana beat Wisconsin 31—7 as quarterback Fernando Mendoza threw for 299 yards and four touchdowns while the offensive line gave up five sacks that set the team back 29 yards.
