  • Cardinal Spirits released Barrel No. 1—a 10-year-old single barrel straight single malt whiskey that the distillery says is the oldest ever produced in Bloomington and its first filled barrel—on November 22. Visitors sampled the whiskey during a pre-release cocktail hour at the distillery before it became available exclusively there.  The Bloomingtonian

SPORTS NEWS

  • Indiana volleyball lost to No. 1 Nebraska on Saturday evening at Wilkinson Hall when the Cornhuskers swept the match to clinch the Big Ten title—coach Steve Aird said the game taught his young team valuable lessons ahead of two upcoming matches for an NCAA Tournament spot.  Indiana Daily Student
  • Bloomington High School South ended its season with a semi-state loss to New Palestine on November 21 at Kelso Stadium. The Panthers finished with an 11 to 2 record as the Dragons secured back-to-back semi-state titles (rain affected play).  Indiana Daily Student
  • Indiana football is on a bye week after an 11-0 start and is resting before its final regular-season game against Purdue on Nov. 28 at 7:30 p.m. ET—coach Curt Cignetti says the break will help the team prepare for a possible Big Ten championship spot.  The Herald-Times
  • The Cascade Cadets defeated Gibson Southern by a score of 49 to 34 on Saturday night to secure a spot in the state championship race—key interceptions and early touchdowns drove the win. They will face Fort Wayne Bishop Luers at Lucas Oil Stadium on Friday, Nov. 28 at 3 p.m.  WTHR
