COMMUNITY NEWS

  • On November 27, Community Kitchen, Wheeler Mission and Beacon's Shalom Community Center will serve free hot Thanksgiving meals for anyone in Bloomington—Community Kitchen will serve from 3 to 6 p.m., Wheeler Mission from 2 to 5 p.m., and Shalom will offer brunch from 8 a.m. to noon. Volunteers and donations are welcomed to support meal preparations before and after the holiday.  The Herald-Times

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Monroe County Public Library updated its Downtown hours on November 24 to match all MCPL branches, now open Monday–Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday–Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 12 to 6 p.m.—Bookmobile stop times remain unchanged.  The Bloomingtonian

SPORTS NEWS

  • The Indiana Pacers, WTHR & WALV have announced a partnership that will air 11 games free over the air starting tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. with a matchup against the Toronto Raptors; upcoming games include contests against the Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, and Los Angeles Lakers to give fans more ways to watch Pacers basketball live.  WTHR
  • Indiana wrestling ended its perfect season with a 22-13 loss to Oklahoma on Sunday in Norman — the Sooners won the final four bouts to secure the win. The team will host Central Michigan on Dec. 5 at Wilkinson Hall in Bloomington — they aim to bounce back.  Indiana Daily Student
  • Indiana women's basketball reporters returned with The Payoff Podcast to review the team's 5-0 start and preview three upcoming games in Florida—detailing both successes and challenges from the season so far.  Indiana Daily Student
  • Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti said his team is 100% focused on Friday’s 100th Old Oaken Bucket game against Purdue and on earning a chance at the Big Ten Championship if they win. He also noted that star players Elijah Sarratt and Mikail Kamara are expected to return as the team prepares to counter Purdue’s balanced offense—aiming to win with a solid, aggressive game plan.  The Bloomingtonian
  • Indiana men's basketball is ranked No. 25 in the AP Top 25 poll, its first ranking under head coach Darian DeVries and first since Nov. 25 last year. The team started 5-0 with home wins and a neutral win over Marquette, and it faces Kansas State at 8 p.m. today and Bethune-Cookman at noon Saturday at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall — with broadcasts on FS1 and the Big Ten Network.  Indiana Daily Student
