- ➤ The Monroe County Fair Board launched the Holiday of Lights Drive-Through Christmas Display on November 28 at the Monroe County Fairgrounds—cars can view festive displays, hear Christmas music, and visit Santa’s Village, and the route is open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays until January 4 with set hours. A 5K run/walk is scheduled for December 23—participants can register starting at 6 p.m. and pay $20 per car. The Herald-Times

- ➤ Yesterday, thousands of lights and festive displays transformed the courthouse square into a winter wonderland as Santa flipped the switch during the annual Canopy of Lights in downtown Bloomington—an event held since 1985.
