At last night's Monroe County Council meeting, a coalition of twelve local organizations urged council members to renovate the current jail and invest in housing, mental health care, food security, and substance use treatment rather than spend over $230 million on a new facility — they pointed out that a $62 million renovation could free up $175 million for these vital services for Monroe County's 140,000 residents.

Indiana football will begin fall camp on July 30 as coach Curt Cignetti works to secure starting roles and settle a cornerback battle between Jamari Sharpe, who earned the spring game nod, and transfer Ryland Gandy.
